Pony Express National Monument

The land for the monument was donated by Cabela's - World Famous Outfitters, in Sidney, Nebraska, and the easement agreement with Cabela's for the land has been finalized. Cheyenne County Tourism has offered to fund one-half the cost of the monument and the Sidney Jaycees will raise the balance needed.

The Jaycees plan to surround the 'horseshoe' with a wrought iron fence and place a life-size horse and rider sculpture in the center. You may see the plans for the monument here.
