On December 3, 2005, 20 members of the Sweetwater County Pony Express Association gathered at the Post Office in Green River to participate in our third annual Christmas card ride. 2200 Christmas cards were placed in two Mochillas, a set of saddle bags and delivered to the Post Office in Rock Springs, Wyoming via horseback. This is a distance of about 14 miles.

It was a beautiful day, temperature 20 degrees with a light wind. (Light Wyoming Wind = able to ride horse without getting blown out of the saddle.)

The members who braved the ride were: Tom Lamb, Liane Lamb, Erica McClure, Justin Andrew, Howard Schultz, Carl Schultz, Pam Santhuff, Joyce Patterson, Shannon Garcia, Cindy Brandjord, Pete Gailey, Toni Lester, Jackie Cook, Sharon Eaton, Ben Sherrod, Clay Allen, Lawrance Lowell, Carol Lowell, Terald Pollock, and Gerald Pollock.

The ride was a success due to the dedicated people listed above. We would like to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous New Year.
